Since 1994, the Alliance and its partners have supported over 3,000 projects, in over 40 countries, reaching millions of people.

The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is seeking a Programme Officer in our East & Southern Africa team who will be responsible for programme development, monitoring and reporting, contract oversight, programme implementation and budget control of Linking Organisation programmes in assigned countries.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Programme Officer with sound knowledge and experience of HIV and AIDS programming, who possesses the right mix of skills and experience in programme start up and management. They will be highly motivated, flexible, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and able to exercise leadership in the secretariat in support of country programmes. Fluency in Portuguese is essential.
