Scholarship/ Fellowship Information 






Every year, VLIR-UOS awards up to 180 scholarships to first-year master students.  The International Training programmes are specifically designed for people in positions of responsibility in civil society (e.g. universities, schools, NGOs, local communities, governments). The target group for master programmes comprises students from developing countries.  Every programme has specific admission requirements, however, relevant professional experience and prospects for applying the acquired skills and knowledge in the student’s country are considered.



Eligible voluntary organisations, institutions and individuals worldwide, with knowledge or interest in environment and/or sustainable development are welcome to nominate candidates for the Sophie Prize.

India has been included as a new country to join US, Canada and UK for the Tony Blair Faith Foundation’s Faiths Act Fellowship 2011-12. The Faiths Act Fellowship is a year-long, paid international Fellowship that brings together exceptional future leaders inspired by faith to serve as interfaith ambassadors for the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
AAUW (formerly known as the American Association of University Women) is an American organisation with a nationwide network of more than 100,000 members and donors, 1,000 branches, and 500 college/university institution partners. 

AAUW has international fellowships that are awarded  for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not United States citizens or permanent residents




Universities 


  1. The Chinese University of Hong Kong Scholarships for International Students  
A number of scholarships funded by the Hong Kong Government as well as private donations are available for international students commencing full-time undergraduate studies at CUHK in September 2011. The value of the scholarships varies from HK$50,000 to HK$125,000 per year.Some awards are renewable on an annual basis and tenable for up to the duration of undergraduate studies undertaken by the awards at CUHK, subject to continued satisfactory academic performance. To qualify for such awards, students should have outstanding academic records.
