Background


Forum Syd is a Swedish NGO with regional offices in Nairobi and headquarters in Sweden. Forum Syd’s main focus is on democracy and rights. Forum Syd has received funds from the European Commission through the Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs for a 23 months Project entitled Tushirikishe Jamii aimed at increasing people participation in good governance and development in Rift Valley and Nyanza in 6 targeted constituencies.



Project Officer
The primary role of the Officer will be to oversee and provide technical support to the project and organizations implementing the project at the grassroots level. The Project Officer at Forum Syd will work with the 2 partner organization staff and will be wholly responsible for the successful coordination, management and completion/extension of the Project.

Driver
Forum Syd is looking for a suitably qualified male or female driver mechanic to join the Organization. He/she will be mostly attached to the Tushirikishe Jamii Project but is expected to support the office when not in the field. The main roles of the driver mechanic are to provide logistical support, drive, regularly service and maintain Forum Syd’s vehicles. He/she is expected to will travel to the field 50% of the time.
