Background  

The German Development Corporation (GDC) through InWEnt- Capacity Building International, Germany and German Technical Corporation (GTZ) is pleased to announce the second Round of Scholarships in the Capacity Building for Effective Health (CBEH) Program

Objective

To strengthen capacities of individuals and institutions to tackle core problem areas of the health system the scholarships are open to candidates from both public and private sectors in Kenya

This round will award six scholarships for a 42 week in-service training in Quality Management for executives in the health sector which will include a two week study tour in Europe and two four day regional workshops in Kenya and Cambodia.

Upon completion of training, fellows will be expected to use their newly acquired skills to develop and implement practical solutions to problems identified during the training.

They will also be expected to join the InWEnt alumni network and be active members.

In June this year, the Kenyan Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) signed a 5 year Agreement of cooperation  in Post graduate Training open to all fields of study. 


Objective of the programme- to train 20 PhD research students from Public universities and constituent colleges in Germany (42 months including 6 moths German language course)

Eligibility: 
  • be a Kenyan citizen
  • be teaching in Kenyan public universities or constituent colleges
  • should have obtained a masters degree within the past 6 years
  • willing to undertake 6 months German language
