Responsible For: Direct line management of national staff in the finance team
Liaises With: : Regional Accountant; Oversees Finance Department; ACD’s, Programme, ACD Systems, HR Manager, Concern Sierra Leone programme teams; Dublin Logistics, IT and HR departments, Bank, Suppliers
Job Purpose:
The Country Accountant is responsible to manage all aspects of the finance function of the Concern Worldwide Sierra Leone country programme so that we achieve our objectives in line with Concern Worldwide’s policies, procedures and standards.
 General Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the efficient and transparent use of all Concern’s resources in order to maximize the benefit to the targeted communities.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern’s Programme Participants Protection Policy to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries.
  • Promote and protect the reputation of Concern in external settings, ensuring that the organization’s experience and expertise is well communicated and consistently presented, and that we are looked to as a professional organization.
