2011 call for proposals- EU grants for poverty reduction and sustainable development strategies.

Deadline for submission of concept notes:       31 August 2011

(Non state actors)
Minimum grant amount:                                 300, 000 EUR
Maximum grant amount:                                1,000, 000 EUR

(Local Authorities)
Minimum grant amount:                                 250, 000 EUR
Maximum grant amount:                                500, 000 EUR


This is a restricted call for proposals from eligible non-state actor organizations and local authorities  under the “Non-State Actors  (NSAs) and Local Authorities in Development” thematic programme.

This latest call for proposal has an objective of promoting the principles of inclusivity and independence in partner countries in order to facilitate participation of NSAs and local authorities in poverty reduction and sustainable development strategies.

Improvement of the Health status of the population in Sierra Leone
Specific objectives of the Call for Proposals
1.   To consolidate and strengthen the capacities and roles of NSA/LA – in particular locally based structures
2.   To take part in the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals for Health To strengthen countrywide health systems in Sierra Leone
3.   To pay particular attention for the reduction of infant Mortality and Morbidity
4.   To empower citizens to access health services by informing them of their rights
