Latest NGO Consultancy Opportunity: Midterm Evaluation Forum Syd
Organization: Forum Syd
Consultancy to Conduct a Midterm Review of the Tushirikishe Jamii Project
Deadline: 14th November 2011
Introduction and Background
Forum Syd is a Swedish NGO with regional offices in Nairobi and headquarters in Sweden. Forum Syd’s main focus is on democracy and rights. It does this mainly through the strengthening of civil society organizations. More details can be found in the website www.forumsyd.org/international or www.africa.forumsyd.org
Funded by the European Commission through the Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs, the Tushirikishe Jamii Project seeks to tackle poor governance and corruption especially in the management of devolved funds at the constituency level which continues to deny marginalized people much-needed development opportunities and realization of their human rights. Young people from low income and slum communities are especially vulnerable as they are perceived negatively by society and rarely participate in development initiatives.
Mid Term Review Consultant and Facilitator
Forum Syd, invites interested consultants/facilitators for a consultancy to undertake the Mid-Term Review exercise including a planned internal review workshop of the Tushirikishe Jamii Project. The review marks a critical time to strategically reflect on the progress made by the project since its commencement, and measure the project’s effectiveness towards achieving its intended goal and objectives. The project intends to use this exercise as a way to learn from the first year of implementation to bring strength, focus and ensure the most effective way forward for the remainder of the project period.
Purpose
The overall purpose for this mid-term evaluation is to learn lessons from project implementation to improve project planning, design and management of the Tushirikishe Jamii Project and similar projects in future. This includes measuring progress towards achievement of the expected outcomes and assessing the measures that the project has put in place in order to create a positive impact in the futureClick here for the full terms of reference - MTR
