2012 Short term scholarships for African nationals from the Australian Government
350 scholarship slots open in 2012 for African nationals to pursue short courses in Australia
In addition to the long term awards for Masters and agricultural PhDs, the Australian Government offers two types of short term Australia Award opportunities available for African nationals.
Firstly, Australia has developed a range of Short Courses. These are available in the only following fields :
- Agriculture
- International Diplomacy
- Mining
- Organisational Development
- Public Private Partnerships
- Technical and Vocational Education and Training Policy Reform and Teacher Skills Upgrades
- Trade Policy, Analysis and Negotiation
Up to 350 places will be available to experienced employees from African public, private and civil society organisations in 2012. Applications from Africans wishing to undertake a short course in the available fields will open in October 2011 and close mid December 2011. The application form and further information will be available through this website later in the year.
