World Bank 3ie DFID Microfinance Consultation for setting up a Sub-SaharanMicrofinance Capacity BuildingFacility

Overview
The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) and World Bank are finalizing plans to set up a Microfinance Capacity Building Facility for Sub-Saharan Africa. The facility, known as MICFAC, aims to increase the outreach of microfinance services – such as savings, loans, insurance and money transfer services – to more poor people in Sub-Saharan Africa.
DFID and World Bank want your ideas and thoughts to assist in the design of this new facility. Microfinance experts can contribute to this technical consultation by adding their individual, group, or organisational responses to each of the key questions raised in the discussion forum.
In each section interested individuals can read more information to help them think about the issues.  One can download  the presentation incase individuals want to discuss the ideas with colleagues, partners or other microfinance stakeholders first.
